Discovery Years

Being Present – Being Visible – Being Involved!

OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME AND PLAN?

We have carefully drawn up a School Education Review Development and Improvement Plan (EDU RDIP) which outlines the school’s achievable priorities, objectives, goals and activities.

The plan is continuously reviewed to keep up with the ever-changing world and environment, particularly in the development of our learners. As such, each year, a Workplan with realistic achievable goals is implemented.

This plan embodies our Vision, Mission, Core Values and Commitment which describes the end goal of Discovery Years, its’ broad academic and operational assurances as well as its’ commitment to its learners, parents, and the broader community it serves.

It also outlines a clear set of nine key priority areas with objectives, activities and measurable indicators that must be achieved.

Our Commitment to Our Vision, Mission and Core Values:

Our Plan for academic growth and improved learner performance is the roadmap that Discovery Years Institute of Education will follow and embrace at every level of the organization. It demands increased focus, collaboration, innovation and accountability at all times regarding all learner experiences which encompasses those not consciously planned (incidental learning and teachable moments); experiences planned (teacher initiated structured programmes) and lastly those experiences that are child initiated and created by our children to make sense of the world. This simply means, Being Present – Being Visible – Being Involved at all times!
